MEMBERSHIP DRIVE NOW IN PROGRESS - PLEASE SUPPORT THE KENT LIBRARY AND HELP IN THE WORK THAT THE FRIENDS DO
Friends of the Kent Library is a volunteer group organized to benefit our library by raising extra funds. The Friends conduct a two-day book sale once per year. In addition, the Book Barn on the library lawn is operated by the Friends, and is open every Wednesday in good weather, selling some of the vast number of donated and carefully-culled books. The Friends have donated the furniture in the children's section, the display case near the front desk, the redecorated inviting lobby, and an extra staff computer. One meeting is held annually for members, and four meetings annually for board members, to which all members are invited. The Friends would be delighted to welcome you as a member. Your membership will benefit the community. Brochures are available at the desk.
Dues for regular membership - $10 per year Dues for Seniors - $5 per year
In addition, tote bags with the Friends logo and a cookbook containing recipes donated by patrons and edited by a professional cookbook writer are for sale at the Library front desk.
Tote bags - $5 each Cookbooks - $10 each
All proceeds go to the Friends group, and are re-distributed to the Library for its programs.
